Services

DKCERT offers several services for the institutions on forskningsnettet, the Danish national research and education network: Incident response, vulnerability scanning, information services, and the DPO Service.

Incident response

DKCERT responds to two types of security incidents on forskningsnettet: Outside incidents and incidents originating on forskningsnettet.

Vulnerability scanning

DKCERT scans computers on forskningsnettet using tools like those used by attackers to discover potential targets. After scanning the IP addresses of an institution DKCERT provides the administrators with a report listing the vulnerabilities found and ranking them by severity.

Information services

DKCERT publishes news about information security. We provide warnings about current threats and information about security patches. Information is also published in weekly newsletters and on Twitter.

DPO Service

The DKCERT DPO Service helps research and education institutions comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The DPO (Data Protection Officer) at the institution may get help and guidance, or the DKCERT DPO Service may function as DPO for the institution.
